Safer Internet Day – 7th February 2012

Tuesday 7th February is Safer Internet Day, designed to get parents involved in their children’s online lives and understand how to keep them safe. On Safer Internet Day itself, CEOP (Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre) will broadcast the ‘The Parents’ and Carers’ Guide to the Internet’. It will be available from 7am on www.thinkuknow.co.uk/parents and www.youtube.com/ceop. Please go online and have a look.

Barbara Steele MBE

28th April 1938 – 22nd December 2011
In Fondest Memory
It is with very great sadness that we announce the death of Mrs Barbara Steele, who will be remembered fondly by many former students and staff. Mrs Steele began her long association with Tarporley High School as a volunteer, and was then employed here from 1974 until her sudden death at the end of the autumn term 2011. She was awarded her MBE for services to education in 2006. Her funeral took place at St Helen’s Church, Tarporley, where family, colleagues and former students of the school joined together to celebrate her life and to say our goodbyes to her.
