Our vision is that teaching at Tarporley is sharply focussed on enabling all students to make excellent progress.  Our culture of high expectations means that all students are supported to flourish in their learning and attain highly at all levels.  

Teaching at Tarporley is informed by evidence-based effective pedagogy and underpinned by our Inclusive Teaching Principles.  These principles place high impact instruction at the heart of its philosophy so that teachers highlight essential knowledge and skills to students, regularly check understanding and provide feedback, benefitting all learners.  Our Inclusive Teaching Principles also promote the principle of minimal adaptation so that teachers anticipate and remove barriers to learning, meaning lessons are accessible by design, enabling all students to succeed.

Our teachers regularly participate in professional learning where they engage with the most effective teaching strategies and share best practice amongst colleagues. 

Our teaching principles are also informed by evidence from the very best educational research so that our teaching has the greatest possible impact on student progress.  Our learning values complement our approach and promote a culture of high expectations for all.
